We have openings in our 2012 Thanksgiving Break Day Camp being held Monday, November 19 through Wednesday, November 21. Camp hours are 9:00 to 1:00 with before and after camp care available. $140 Tuition includes snacks, bottled water, craft supplies and a T-shirt. Enrollment is limited to 8 campers.

We now have our complete 2012-2013 Day Camp Program schedule available for reservations. Space is limited in our 3 to 5 day sessions. For more information please contact Kimberly at sebestasrockingk@aol.com.

CONGRATULATIONS to the three lucky Troops and their Leaders who filled out a drawing tag at the Annual Girl Scouts Volunteer Conference and Celebration held Saturday, August 18, 2012. Thank you to the 83 GSSD Troop Leaders who entered our drawing on behalf of their Troops. We look forward to working with your troops in the future.

The winners are:

1st Prize:  Troop 4618 won a $50 Credit to be used toward a 2012-2013 Sebesta’s Rocking K Ranch Horse Program

2nd Prize:  Troop 6102 won a $30 Credit to be used toward a 2012-2013 Sebesta’s Rocking K Ranch Horse Program

3rd Prize:  Troop 3851 won Free Helmet Rental during a 2012-2013 Sebesta’s Rocking K Ranch Horse Program

A special Thank You to Girl Scouts San Diego for inviting Sebesta’s Rocking K Ranch to participate as a Community Partner in their Annual 2012 Girl Scouts San Diego Volunteer Conference and Celebration held on Saturday, August 18.

I also wish to thank all of the resiliant Troop Leaders who visited our booth to discuss their Troop’s equine interests and how our horse programs can best fit their needs. It was a great pleasure meeting with each of you. I very much appreciate your visit knowing how busy the conference schedule was.

We wish to thank the following families for another successful summer of Sebesta’s Summer Day Camp Program: Clark, Mahrt, Kellison, Marston, Kelly, Wagner, Jamison, Belluso, Bailey, and Johnson. A special note of appreciation goes out to those families who returned their children to our camp program: Marston, Kelly, Wagner and Jamison. We could not be prouder of the equestrian accomplishments their children made during their time with us. Your children are awesome!!!

Leaders- We have until September 2012 before Girl Scout’s Council no longer recognizes their current Horse Proficiency Badges. We have badges in stock for both the Horse Fan and Horse Rider programs. There is still time for your troop to take advantage of these wonderfully enriching programs before time runs out. Please contact sebestasrockingk@aol.com to RSVP dates for your troop.

We have two, one week-long day camps scheduled for summer 2012. This is our 8th summer of providing safe and educational horseback riding camps in beautiful Ramona, California. The dates are July 23-27 and July 30-August 3. Camp begin at 9:00 AM and end at 1:00 PM Monday through Friday. Crafts, snacks and bottled water are included in our camp tuition. After camp care is available from 7:30 – 9:00 AM and 1:00 – 6:30 PM. Camps are co-ed and limited to 8 campers per session. For more information, please email sebestasrockingk@aol.com

Our Fall 2012 instructional season is underway.  The weather is beautiful in Ramona this time of year. We are blessed daily with a cooling breeze, even during the hottest days.  If you’ve been thinking of riding lessons for you or your children, now is a great time to start.  Lesson times are available, including after school and most weekends.
